Sana Ganguly, Daughter Of Saurav Ganguly

Sana Ganguly, Saurav Ganguly’s daughter, may not have inherited his talents as a cricketer.

However, she has definitely inherited his and her mother Dona Roy’s charming nature.


Sana was born on 3 November 2001 at Behala in Kolkata.

She is 16 years old.

Her paternal grandparents names are Chandidas Ganguly and Nirupa Ganguly.

Her maternal grandparents are Sanjeev Roy and Swapna Roy.

Her parents are, of course, Sourav Ganguly and Dona Roy.


Dona Ganguly is a renowned Odissi dance. She has performed at a professional level and has won several awards.

Sana has also developed an interest in Odissi dance.

She performed with her mother during a Holi special event at the Indian Museum in Kolkata.

Sana appears to have developed an interest in modeling.

She made her debut by doing her first photo shoot with Saurav.

This was revealed by Dona on facebook. She also shared a few pictures of the photo shoot.

Saurav, the proud father, also shared the occasion on facebook with the caption ‘Debutant’ and a smilie.

Sana wore a lovely pink saree with a gold border.

She looked very pretty. It is obvious that she has transitioned from a teenager to a young woman.

There is good chemistry between the father and daughter duo. Sana looked very comfortable facing the camera due to Saurav’s presence.


Sana’s interest and passion is clearly dance. However, she does appear to have more than a passing interest in cricket. This is not unusual given the stellar contribution that Saurav Ganguly brought to the game.

Saurav was known for his aggressive and dominating attitude towards rival teams and earned the nickname ‘Dada’ for that. He is also affectionately known as the ‘Prince of Kolkata’ for the immense fame that he brought to the City and its people from his contribution to the game.

The young lady does keep a track of cricket matches. She is particularly fond of IPL matches. Her favourite IPL cricket team is Mumbai Indians.
